TI: Plying of limited number of trains between Tatanagar-Rourkela stations on Howrah-Mumbai route will resume from tomorrow night after a over a year and half, Divisional Railway Manager, Chakradharpur division, Achal Khare said. “We will run passenger trains between the stations under Chkradharpur division of South Eastern Railway from tomorrow night,” Khare said today. Howrah-Kurla Express would be the only long-distance train to run in the division , he said. Running of night trains in Khargapur-Tatanagar-Rourkela sections had been suspended between 11 pm to 5 am since the Jnaneshwari Express tragedy on May 28 last year. The decision to run trains during nights was hailed by the BJP which claimed it was taken following initiatives by Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda. BJP would continue to agitate till the night train services were fully restored in the section, which is considered a Maoist-hit area, party’s East Singhbhum district committee secretary Rajesh Singh said.
