A beautiful surrounding very good dust free atmosphere and hygienic colony is situated near Airport from Ring Road to Panposh area. It is established in the year 1989. The big “Bull” of Lord SHIV is very nice to be worthy seen. SHIVRATRI is being observed every year in the month of February.
2. Lord Shree Jaganath Temple -
Is is situated in the year 2004. The architectural design of the temple is very beautiful to be seen. Rath Yatra is the biggest festival of Lord Jaganath and is observed every year in the month of June. Prasad is being distributed to the devotee on payment basis of rupee thirty everyday.
3. Maa Mangla Temple -
It is a very good temple to be seen. Her blessing is a great.
4. Sri Ganesh Temple -
This temple is also very good in construction, where devotee can worship very nicely to remove their problems on day today basis.
5. Maa Laxmi Temple -
It is nicely constructed. Maa Mahalaxmi’s blessing to the devotee is a great on wealth development.
6. Maa Vimla Temple -
It is a very nice and decent temple to be seen. The construction work of this temple is great.
7. Sadaguru Sri Sri Nigamanand Spritual Sangh (Ashram) -
It is situated in Dev Vihar and is worthing to be visited. Dev Vihar is also called Heaven. Any devotee can enjoy great piece of mind.
MAA TARINI TEMPLE COMPLEX : CHHEND HOUSING COMPLEX
This complex is consists of number of temples, Maa Tarini, Shiv Temple, Hanuman Temple, Sri Laxmi Narayan Temple. It is constructed in the year 2003. The Beautiful magnificent gate for the complex is beautifully designed and is very fascinating.
Shiv Temple Complex -
The Shiv Temple, Tarini Temple, Mangala Temple is much fascinating. These temple are at the top of the hill. One can enjoy the natural scenery of Rourkela and Chhend area very nicely.

it is is matter of pleasure for Rourkela people that in our Rourkela development work in large scal is in progress after so may years. But is it justified to maintain such an abnormal height of roads and drains which will exceed the years long buld residencial houses on main roads and branch roadss. Are all people rich engough and competent to build their houses again by demolishing their already build houses to match the plinth levels with roads. Was such hight of roads if in any master plan, was disclosed to beople while approving plans to people for constructing houses.
Can anybody reply these querries please. Is is most important to safeguard the interest of Rourkela residence residing in Rourkela since long.

I request u and the other visitors attention on this matter that why C2L2/24,C2L2/25 & C2L2/27 of CHHEND COLONY, PH-2 are not constructing yet .Due to not constructing these houses; the problem of chocking of the drain growing day to day .Now the area has become so polluted which cannot be described fully .It is beyond expectation .Only constructing the drain line by the rourkela municipality can solve the aforesaid chocking problem .

Chhend Housing Colony is the biggest Colony in Asia. This area is Polllution free. Most of the outsiders prefer to establish their residence here. There is sufficient scope for further development at different field. Drainage system is alos very good as compare to Koel Nagar. Many retired employees of Rourkela Steel Plants stay here. Social life of the in-habitants is also very co-ordial.

No. C2L2-00, ph-2, chhend colony], on behalf of our local residents, beg to state that applications about our stated problem to the counselor (Word no.-32) on 07-05-06 and on the chairman desk on 16-06-06, 23-06-06, 31-08-06, 15-11-06, and executive officer desk on
24-01-07, 08.02.07. But the application for the drainage system was not proceed for a long time. Due to not constructing the houses of Qr.No C2L2/25, C2L2/27 ,C2L2/28, C2L2/12 & C2L2/13 the drain lines are always choked .These houses are not constructed & the muncipality has not made drain line since 10-12yrs. So the problem of chocking of the drain growing day to day. Now the condition is so worst that the drain water is always passing through the road. Saveral applications given to the area counselor,ADM rourkela & the chairman of municipality. Due to this reason, we, the following people of this locality facing a lot of problem in communication. Now the area has become so polluted which cannot be described fully.It is beyond expectation. In spite of several applications to proper authority
regarding the drainage system, the problem has not been solved yet.
Only constructing the drain line can solve the aforesaid chocking problem.
